My name is Cindy Wu, and I am a writer based in Houston, TX. I stumbled across your beautiful painting (see below) during an Internet search. I’m writing for permission to use your painting for the cover art of a book I have written about the refugee crisis. My book will be published by William Carey Library, publication date June 2017. I’ve written a 7-week study called A Better Country: Embracing the Refugees in Your Midst, to help Christians think theologically and respond practically to the global refugee crisis. I love the inspiration behind your painting and think it fits perfectly with the themes in my book. One of my chapters is even titled “Serving Angels.” Please let me know if you charge a fee for use as cover art.
IAFR Canada is a small, almost 5-year-old Canadian nonprofit that seeks to help people survive and recover from forced displacement. One of our key partners is in Beirut, where we support their Syrian Transition Education Program, helping kids who’ve made it to Beirut catch up in their education. Over 120 children are served, with a long waiting list, especially considering Lebanon’s current economic crisis. We also have a team member working in Lesvos, where the boats continue to arrive daily. I’m contacting you about your beautiful “May Angels Protect You” piece. Every year we mail a Christmas Card to our community of volunteers and supporters, about 400 families in total. We’d love to use your image on this year’s card. Could we have access to a digital version of it?
